Obituary of Daniel M. Schmicker

Daniel  Schmicker, 53, of Buffalo, IN passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 in Goshen, IN.  He was born on October 19, 1969   in  Winamac, IN to Robert Louis “Bob” and Mildred Barbara Weaver Schmicker.    

Dan worked as a maintenance technician at the Winamac Fish and Wildlife.  He was the owner of the Paul Bunyan Tree Service. Dan grew up and worked on the Schmicker family farm for many years.

Dan loved to work in his garden. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing. He lived on the river and spent many hours enjoying time by and  on the water. Dan was always there to help family, friends and neighbors in need.  He  loved to cook and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 AM – 1 PM EDT Friday, July 28, 2023 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.

Private funeral services will be held.

Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac, IN.
