Sorry to hear about your lost Debbie,
Debbie and my mother Brenda were best friends throughout my childhood. Basically family!! My sister Monica and I would love staying at their house/farm in Merrillville. I would love learning about the animals feeding them and different care needed for each different animal.. I did hate cleaning out the chicken coops and cows area, but those were the conditions sometimes staying the night LOL... I was an extremely curious child, I can remember this time I snuck downstairs to mess around and play with all of Howard's tools some of which were antique. I was always intrigued by them. While I was down there I started to mess around with stuff I knew I should not be messing with.. to this day I still remember very clearly just as I was about to start playing with his tools he literally came out of nowhere and scared the living death out of me LOL.. I still do not know where he came from he did not come down the stairs and he did not come through the basement door... After my soul returned to my body LOL he let me help sand down a chair that he was constructing. Also another time again I was into something I should not have been LOL till this day I still hate black licorice because of Howard. I was into his licorice that he always kept to bedside. Again he literally came through the wall scared me.. as soon as I tasted the licorice I immediately spit it out!! OH NO ,NOT MY LICORICE!! He made me eat every piece that my dirty greasy grimy fingers had touched.. Howie was overall a great man jack of all trades regardless of him waking my sister and I at the crack of dawn to tend to the chickens cows etc.. you will be missed Howie... Now you can enjoy your ice cream & licorice in peace REST EASY HOWIE YOU ARE ALWAYS BE IN OUR MEMORIES...
